The film follows Ekrem, a young man who travels to America for his studies. Upon his return, he is set to be engaged to Necla, the daughter of a wealthy businessman. However, the story takes a twist when Türkan, a poor street vendor, is drawn into a web of deception after meeting Aziz, Necla's father. Aziz persuades Türkan to impersonate his daughter in a bid to secure a better future for her.

As Türkan adopts Necla's identity, a romance blossoms between her and Ekrem, complicating matters further when the truth comes to light.
