Kill Me Later is an interesting blend of crime, drama, and romance that treads some darker waters. The atmosphere is quite bleak, almost suffocating at times, as Shawn's initial despair leads her to the roof. The pacing is somewhat uneven, shifting between tense hostage situations and introspective moments, which might throw some viewers off. But there's a rawness to the performances that really pulls you in, particularly the chemistry between Shawn and Charlie. They play off each other's desperation and vulnerabilities in a way that feels genuine. Also, the practical effects here, while not the focus, add a layer of realism that enhances the gritty feel of the film. It’s not your standard heist flick, and I appreciate that it dives deep into character motivations.
