Kitsune

Set in early summer, Kitsune follows the story of a scientist named Ogata who encounters a 14-year-old girl named Maya in a foggy forest. Their friendship develops against the backdrop of the serene Nekushiro Plains, creating a poignant narrative.

As summer vacation comes to an end, the arrival of Ogata's lover, Tomonori, introduces tension into the developing relationship between Ogata and Maya. The film captures themes of friendship, love, and the complexities of human emotions in a tranquil setting. With a focus on character-driven storytelling, Kitsune offers a unique glimpse into life in Japan during the 1980s.
