Koujin

Koujin presents a narrative centered around the long-standing feud between the Nagatsuno and Koyama domains in Tohoku. The story unfolds with Soya Danjo, a chief retainer of the Nagatsuno domain, whose raids provoke distress, particularly for his sister Akane. When a young boy from the Koyama domain is injured by a mysterious monster, the tension escalates.

Akane, along with the wandering samurai Sakakida Soei and painter Kikuchi Enshu, takes on the challenge of battling the monster. The film explores themes of courage and the quest for understanding as they seek to protect their home from this looming threat. Koujin combines horror and drama effectively, making it a unique addition to the genre.
