Là-Bas: A Criminal Education

The film centers on the violent aftermath of a massacre in a tailor's shop run by African immigrants in Castel Volturno, Italy. On September 18, 2008, a group of Camorra members storms the shop, resulting in the deaths of six young men. Yussouf, a young immigrant, seeks revenge against his uncle Moses, who led him down a path of crime instead of the honest life he promised.

Alongside Yussouf, the story weaves in the lives of other characters affected by this tragic event, including Germain, who witnesses the violence, and Asetù, whose public performance of a Miriam Makeba song contrasts sharply with the surrounding turmoil. The narrative raises questions about identity, loyalty, and the pursuit of a better life amidst chaos.
