The story follows 14-year-old Marie-Luce Bison, who lives in a cheerful boarding house for seniors, managed by her father. As she navigates the challenges of adolescence, including a costume party at her new college, Marie-Luce faces obstacles when her father forbids her from attending and she is not invited.

Encouraged by her 80-year-old friend Albert, she decides to crash the party dressed as a boy. This choice leads to an unexpected identity shift, prompting her to create a male persona named Leo. The film shines a light on the complexities of her relationship with her father as she explores her teenage life and the complications that arise from her new disguise.
