Romero's 'Land of the Dead' feels like a culmination of his undead saga. The atmosphere is thick with dread, and there's a grim, almost oppressive tone throughout. The pacing feels deliberate, allowing tension to build as we watch the last remnants of humanity struggle to maintain a semblance of life amidst chaos. The practical effects are a standout—those zombies look impressively decayed, and the makeup holds up well. Dennis Hopper’s performance brings a sinister edge as the power-hungry leader. Plus, the themes of class struggle and survival in a post-apocalyptic world add layers that are really interesting, especially in how they reflect our own society. It's a worthy entry in the series, though I feel it has some uneven moments, but it's always compelling to watch.
