Laugh or Die

The film follows Parikka, an actor known as the Funniest Man in Finland, and his troupe facing execution for their actions during the Finnish Civil War. With a German General's visit looming, Lieutenant Nyborg seeks to save the actors by suggesting they perform a comedy to win a new trial. This task proves daunting as only a few real actors remain, and the rest of the troupe consists of stagehands.

Set against the backdrop of a prison island, "Laugh or Die" delves into the absurdity of humor in dire circumstances.
