Laulu sõber

The film follows Tõnu, an agronomy student, as he navigates life at a collective farm. Despite the challenges posed by the farm's manager, who dismisses singing as unimportant, Tõnu discovers a wealth of talent among his fellow collective farmers. At the center of this community is Malle, a singer with a beautiful voice, whose father stands in the way of their musical aspirations.

As the story unfolds, the farmers rally around Tõnu's conducting skills, determined to participate in an upcoming song festival. Their efforts to prepare for the festival advance, but they face resistance from the manager. The film captures the spirit of collaboration and resilience among the collective farmers as they fight for their right to express themselves through music.
