Le Chiffonnier de Paris

The film follows Jean, a rag-and-bone man, who becomes embroiled in a complex situation after witnessing a murder. He is entrusted with the care of a young girl, Marie Didier, whose life he influences significantly. Fast forward twenty years, Marie has blossomed into a seamstress in 1846 Paris, but faces challenges at a party where she is insulted by Baron Hoffmann.

Henri de Berville, a dashing figure, steps in to defend her honor during this confrontation.
