L'engrenage

Georges Calin, the son of a northern industrialist, arrives in Paris with aspirations of becoming a film director. He faces a challenging environment as he seeks the guidance of established directors, including the fashionable Albert Fromond and the declining Risquard. As Georges grapples with menial tasks, he also encounters Marianne, a young girl who supports him in his journey to success. However, as he gains fame, he forgets Marianne, revealing the complexities of ambition and personal relationships.
