Lethal Obsession is one of those horror flicks that really dives into the darker sides of obsession and voyeurism. It leans heavily into that grimy atmosphere, amplified by the masked killer's brutal methods. The pacing keeps you on edge, with each kill escalating in brutality, and there's this unsettling tension throughout as it unfolds live on camera. You can almost feel the dread seep through the screen. Practical effects are pretty decent for a low-budget film, adding to the rawness of the violence. The performances, while not Oscar-worthy, do have a certain gritty charm, fitting the film's overall tone. Definitely not your typical slasher, it has a layer of commentary lurking beneath the surface, making it distinctive in its own right.
