The film follows Sonja Franke, a wine merchant in Munich, who faces a series of misfortunes after discovering her husband's infidelity. Following this shock, she finds herself in a traffic control situation that leads to losing her driver's license. With her means of transport taken away, Sonja must embark on a train journey to meet a vital winemaker.
