This documentary was filmed using the first portable video recorders during a two-month stay with the local community. The small crew captured a collective portrait of the island's inhabitants, including former ore carriers, seafarers, salt workers, and young professionals in various sectors.

The film highlights the lives of the "white widows," women who raised their children while their husbands worked at sea. It provides an intimate view of the community's daily routines, struggles, and aspirations, showcasing both past and present experiences.

Three years after the initial filming, the crew returned to the island to present their work to the locals, incorporating their reactions and comments into the final edit. This approach not only documents the lives of the islanders but also emphasizes the role of video as a tool for recognition and dialogue.
