Liu Qing

The film portrays the fifty-sixth century, a time of disarray in new China as it embarked on a vigorous socialist rural co-operative movement. It follows the journey of Liu Qing, a young writer who resigns from his cadre position in Beijing to participate in rural construction.

Liu Qing dedicates fourteen years to the cause, facing numerous challenges while working alongside peasants to promote agricultural co-operatives. His efforts culminate in the creation of The History of Entrepreneurship, which becomes a national sensation upon publication. The film reflects the spirit of the socialist movement and highlights the struggles and triumphs of those involved in this significant historical period.
