London Boulevard is an interesting blend of crime and drama that captures the gritty underbelly of London. It tells the story of a parolee trying to find his footing, but gets tangled up with a reclusive movie star. The film has this dark, brooding atmosphere that feels very much like an extension of the city itself. The pacing is a bit uneven at times, which kind of adds to the tension – you’re never quite sure when things might go sideways. The performances are solid, especially the way the leads interact, creating a palpable chemistry amidst the chaos. There’s something distinct about how it portrays the clash between glamour and danger, making it a unique entry in the crime genre.
Strong performances from the leads.Dark, brooding aesthetic typical of British crime dramas.Interesting exploration of celebrity and isolation.
