Long Long Time Ago

Set between 1965 and the early 1970s, Long Long Time Ago follows Zhao Di, who is heavily pregnant and forced to leave her husband’s family. Upon returning to her own family, she gives birth to twins, Shun Fatt and Su-mei. Due to superstitions surrounding Su-mei's appearance, Zhao Di faces immense pressure to give her up in pursuit of a better future for her family.

The film presents a blend of drama and comedy that reflects the struggles and resilience of families navigating societal expectations. With a runtime of 107 minutes, it captures a critical period in Singapore's history while addressing deeply personal themes of love and sacrifice.
