Long March

Set in June 1944, Long March follows a young doctor, Chevalier, who is coerced into treating a wounded man among resistance fighters, known as maquisards. The tension escalates as Chevalier grapples with his disapproval of the resistance, while Carnot, the chief of the maquisards, questions his loyalty and orders his execution post-treatment. Philippe, second in command, advocates for Chevalier, adding dramatic tension to the storyline.

As the narrative unfolds, the camp faces imminent danger when peasants betray the maquisards to the Nazis, leading to the camp's encirclement. Philippe’s leadership emerges as a beacon of hope, propelling the group to embark on a perilous journey through the Cévennes to unite with other resistance fighters.
