Longleat '83: The Lost Footage

In April 1983, Roger Stevens and James Russell obtained “Access All Areas” passes to the BBC’s Doctor Who celebrations at Longleat. Armed with a Ferguson Videostar camera, they recorded extensive footage of the event, including interviews with iconic actors Patrick Troughton and Tom Baker. While the BBC's official records consist of only a few minutes, this documentary showcases several hours of material previously thought lost.

The film is notable for its informal and nostalgic portrayal of the Doctor Who community during the 1983 celebrations.
