Louis Schittly, de terre et de guerre

This documentary highlights the transformative experiences of Louis Schittly, who was born in 1938 in Sundgau, Alsace. Initially set to inherit his family's farm, his dreams shifted due to the war stories of his youth. Schittly became a doctor and ventured into some of the most challenging war zones, including Biafra, Vietnam, Afghanistan, and South Sudan.

In Biafra, he worked at the Santana hospital, tackling the famine that devastated children. His efforts alongside his peers led to the founding of Médecins Sans Frontières, an organization that has become synonymous with humanitarian aid. Bernard Kouchner, a key figure in the organization, is prominently featured in the film, offering insights into their shared mission and experiences.
