Love and Money

The story follows Feri Noszty, a young man who faces dire consequences after forging bills of exchange. In an attempt to salvage his honor and resolve financial issues, his family decides to marry off his sister, Vilma, to a wealthy man. Despite their efforts, Feri's situation only worsens as he resigns his commission as an officer and takes a job as a magistrate that fails to meet his needs. The film presents a stark look at the societal pressures and personal sacrifices made in the name of family and honor.
