Love in the Year of the Tiger

The film follows two Polish men who escape exile and journey through the Siberian taiga to China. Their adventure takes a tragic turn when one of them dies after crossing the Amur River. The surviving man is rescued by an old Chinese hunter who brings him to his secluded mountain home.

In this isolated setting, the hunter's daughter, a sixteen-year-old girl, faces a unique challenge. To avoid attracting attention, her parents force her to disguise herself as a boy by cutting her hair and changing her clothing. Despite their efforts, feelings begin to develop between her and the young Polish man, creating a poignant romantic tension that underlines the narrative.
