Lued Suphan

Set in 1765, Lued Suphan depicts life in a peaceful village in Suphan Buri just before the arrival of the Burmese army. The villagers are unaware of the looming threat, believing the flood season will deter invaders. However, the Burmese army successfully invades, leading to devastating consequences for the community.

Central to the plot is the character of the moon, who disguises herself as a man to navigate the chaos. The film also explores the relationships and conflicts between characters like Duangjan and the rival commanders Mangratho and Mangrai. Through its historical context, Lued Suphan offers a glimpse into the challenges faced by the Thai people during this turbulent time, showcasing themes of survival and resistance against oppression.
