Machete

The film follows Lucas Cano, known as Machete, who seeks peace in a small town in Mexico after retiring from his role as a bodyguard for the Mexican President. However, his past catches up with him as he confronts drug dealers involved in smuggling illegal immigrants into the United States. Machete's health is failing, yet he continues to engage in destructive behaviors like drinking and smoking, complicating his efforts to escape his past.

Machete's journey becomes more complex when he learns that his old Vietnam friend, now working for the CIA, has been sent to arrest him. The film intertwines themes of survival and redemption as Machete faces overwhelming odds. A young boy named Panchito enters his life, offering companionship and hope for change amid the chaos.
