Mademoiselle Swing

The film follows young Irène, who feels trapped in Angoulême between her classical-composing uncle and contemporary-music-loving aunt. Her world brightens when swing music enters her life, providing an escape from her mundane surroundings.

When Raymond Serre and his swing orchestra arrive in Angoulême, Irène seizes the chance to slip her original song into one of the musicians' pockets. However, her excitement leads to an unexpected twist as she boards a train that departs just as she makes her move. Mademoiselle Swing combines comedy and music in a narrative that reflects the cultural atmosphere of early 1940s France.
