Set three years after the original Magic Mike, the film follows Mike and the remaining Kings of Tampa on a road trip to Myrtle Beach. Their goal is to stage one last spectacular show that celebrates their craft and camaraderie. The story is centered on male friendship and the struggles and joys of life after the spotlight.

Gregory Jacobs directed the sequel, stepping in after Steven Soderbergh, who produced and was involved in the original film. The cast reunites several fan favorites such as Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, and Joe Manganiello. New additions include Jada Pinkett Smith and Amber Heard, adding fresh dynamic to the story.
