MAHOROBA

The film follows a salaryman referred to as "Me," who endures relentless torment from his overbearing boss at the Hudsucker corporate headquarters. As he grapples with his brutal work life, he finds solace in bittersweet memories of his late grandmother.

In a twist of fate, Me takes revenge against his oppressor and escapes Tokyo, leading to a violent hijacking of his airplane. His journey culminates on the shores of the remote island Mahoroba, a place symbolizing a far-off utopia, which adds an intriguing layer to his quest for freedom and peace.
