Malice (2025) is a rather atmospheric horror flick that drags you into a tense, claustrophobic setting with a group of six people trapped in a forest hut. The pacing picks up gradually, letting you sink into the dread that's building around them. There’s a palpable sense of isolation that really heightens the horror elements. I found the practical effects quite impressive; they lend a gritty realism that's often missing in modern horror. The performances are solid too, with each character bringing a unique tension to the group dynamics. It doesn't break new ground but there's a rawness to it that feels genuine. The themes of survival and the lurking evil are executed with a simplicity that resonates well.
Interesting use of practical effects.Strong atmosphere throughout.Engaging character dynamics.
