Mama's Boy

Set in 1999, Mama's Boy follows Pera, a middle-aged cinephile and film projectionist, living in Belgrade with his mother, Mara. When NATO bombs fall on Serbia, they become refugees and embark on a surreal journey that leads them to New York City. For Pera, this transition marks the end of his former life as he confronts the shift to digital projection, which threatens to erase the magic of traditional cinema.

As Pera searches for discarded projectors, he is determined to revive the essence of Real Cinema. The film combines elements of drama and comedy, making it a compelling watch for those interested in stories about resilience and passion for film.
