Mamu (and a Mother Too)

The film follows a transgender sex worker in her late 40s who lives in a vibrant area known for its nightlife. She dreams of getting breast implants to enhance her profession but finds herself unexpectedly taking on the role of a mother to her orphaned niece, who is beginning to explore her own sexuality.

As she juggles her demanding job, the challenges of aging in a fast-changing society, and the responsibilities of parenthood, the protagonist faces significant struggles. These confrontations ultimately lead her to a renewed perspective on life, along with a recipe for a traditional Kapampangan dish, Sisig. The narrative intertwines humor and heartfelt moments, making it a unique story within the comedy genre.
