Marked Cards

The film follows Ellen Shannon, the daughter of an Irish politician, engaged to Ted Breslin. However, Ted's mother disapproves of their union due to his father's humble beginnings. This leads Ted down a path of drinking and gambling, while Ellen attends a finishing school to enhance her prospects.
