Mas Merah

The story revolves around Mas Merah, the daughter of a family torn apart by two feuding wives, Mak Merah and Mak Gelam. Their constant clashes escalate to violence, ultimately leading to tragedy when Mak Gelam injures and kills Mak Merah. After this devastating event and facing accusations, Mas Merah flees her home to find solace in the wilderness.

While in the wilderness, she encounters Awang Sulong, a prince raised in isolation due to his mother’s slander. Together, they embark on a journey to restore harmony and truth to their kampong and the royal court, challenging the lies and betrayals that have taken root. This film highlights the complexities of familial relationships and the quest for justice in a world filled with deceit.
