Master Swordsman Hirate Miki - Duel in Tone

The film follows Zoushu Hirate, the acting master of Chibashusaku Dojo in the Hokushinitto style. After the death of his wife, he becomes embroiled in a quest for money driven by her alcoholism. His pursuit leads him to Kanji Amakasa, the killer of a Daikansho office worker, who has sought refuge in the home of Shigekura Sasagawa along the Tone River.

As the Sasagawa family prepares for an impending fight with the Iioka family, they seek a skilled swordsman. Hirate's journey is not just about revenge but also about confronting his past and the challenges of a life steeped in martial tradition. With a strong cast including Ikko Furuya and Jun Miho, this film offers both action and a deep dive into personal and familial conflicts within the yakuza context.
