Matha

Matha presents a poignant narrative set during the Sri Lankan civil war. It follows the lives of Yoga and Parvathi, two lovers caught in the chaos of battle as they navigate their feelings for each other and their commitments to the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE).

As the conflict escalates, Parvathi's family faces relocation to a concentration camp, while Yoga is dispatched on a mission by a jealous commander. Their paths cross again on the battlefield, leading to significant consequences, including Parvathi's unexpected pregnancy. As the war reaches its climax, the lovers must escape both the advancing Sri Lankan army and the LTTE to protect their unborn child.
