The film follows the story of Rahmat, a high school graduate unable to afford college. Raised by Mba Bunga, the owner of a salon, Rahmat develops into a smart and dutiful young man. He secretly loves Ratih, a young widow living nearby, while another widow, Mpok Sari, vying for his affection, spreads rumors to tarnish Ratih’s reputation.
