Mayerling / Bouquet de Takarazuka

Set in Austria in 1888, Mayerling tells the story of Crown Prince Rudolph, who struggles with the constraints of royal life. Bored and dissatisfied, he is forced into an unhappy marriage with Princess Stephanie of Belgium. The film explores themes of love and rebellion as Rudolph's jealousy of his cousin Grand Duke Jean Salvadore's freedom grows.

The film takes a dramatic turn when Rudolph meets Maria Vetsera, the daughter of a wealthy baron. Their instant attraction sets off a series of events that challenge the conventions of their society.
