Memory & Desire

In Memory & Desire, Sayo and Keiji escape to New Zealand to marry and seek freedom from Keiji's disapproving mother in Japan. Their honeymoon should be a time of love and joy, but tragedy strikes when Keiji drowns, forcing Sayo to return to a life dominated by her cruel mother-in-law.
