Memory Lane

The story follows Jaap and Maartje, who have been together for nearly 50 years. Jaap, a grumpy old man, is less enthusiastic about life, while Maartje, despite her moments of confusion, is eager to embrace new experiences. Their lives take a turn when they receive a letter from an old holiday friend, leading them to embark on a road trip through a changing Europe.

As the couple travels in their old car, they bicker and reminisce, unearthing cherished memories along the way. However, Jaap begins to confront the harsh reality of Maartje's increasing signs of dementia. This journey becomes not just a physical trip but an emotional exploration of their relationship, where they rediscover their love for each other amidst the challenges they face.
