Mera Pind: My Home

The film follows the Khular family as they navigate the challenges of marriage and education for their children. Himmat, the youngest son, returns home after completing his studies at Patiala's Punjabi University. The family's plans for his future come to a halt when he refuses to marry a wealthy American bride, opting instead to pursue his own dreams.

As Himmat sets out to open a Dhaba, he also begins to woo Resham, the daughter of the powerful Deep Singh. This romantic pursuit complicates matters further, as Deep Singh has his own plans for Resham's future, which do not involve a lowly Dhaba owner. Mera Pind: My Home offers a rich exploration of family, ambition, and love against a backdrop of Punjabi culture, making it a unique entry in the 2000s cinema landscape.
