Miss Bulalacao

The film follows Dodong, a young drag queen who enters a barangay gay pageant in search of acceptance from his father and community. However, he faces hostility instead, leading to a dramatic chase into the jungle where he experiences a surreal night under a bright star.

In a twist, Dodong discovers he is pregnant, which brings further ridicule from the barangay that refuses to believe his situation. Miss Bulalacao tackles complex themes around gender and acceptance while presenting a unique narrative that highlights the struggles faced by individuals in pursuit of their true selves.
