The story follows Renata, a journalism student navigating her career and complicated personal life. Living with her jealous boyfriend, Standa, she engages in anti-regime activities that draw the attention of the secret police. As her relationship with Standa deteriorates, Renata's romance with dissident Holý complicates matters further, creating a tense atmosphere around her father's position in the Ministry of the Interior.
