Moonlight Warrior

Set in 1976 Chongqing, Moonlight Warrior tells the story of 14-year-old Dou, who falls in love with a nurse named Jiahui while hospitalized. Unfortunately, Jiahui is involved with a mobster named Gang, who is abusive toward her. Dou takes on the role of Jiahui’s protector, earning the title of her "Moonlight Warrior."

The narrative spans two decades, culminating in Jiahui's return to China, which prompts Dou to reflect on his childhood dreams and their shared past. The film's themes of love, protection, and resilience against domestic violence create a compelling backdrop for viewers. With a strong cast including Zuo Hang and Feng Jiamei, the film aims to capture the struggles of its characters against a rich historical setting.
