Mount of Lament

The film follows Lado Tajovic, a student sent by the communist party to the Montenegrin Mountains to promote the liberation movement's message. Alone in a hostile environment, he faces constant threats from enemies and wrestles with his own mental state, battling hallucinations and the temptation for revenge.

Set against the backdrop of World War II, Mount of Lament delves into themes of loyalty, ideology, and human vulnerability. Lado's journey is marked by moments of intense psychological conflict, as he strives to adhere to party principles of non-violence, even as he confronts the primal instincts of vengeance. This film presents a unique perspective on the war experience, highlighting the internal struggles of those involved.
