The film follows Gurda, whose life is filled with sorrow as he navigates the challenges of being a traveler. Despite his misery, he finds solace in the company of friends like Duati, Bonto, and Binti, who support him through difficult times. Gurda's determination leads him to seek a new way of living by gathering firewood, despite the prohibitions set by the Chajali king.

As the story unfolds, Gurda's life takes a turn when a young merchant seeks to propose to Princess Aziza, the daughter of Minister Trenggana. It is revealed that Princess Aziza is actually Duati, Gurda's love interest. Gurda's cleverness and determination help him navigate the complexities of love and duty, as he works to prevent his brother's marriage to Aziza.
