So, 'Nakas' from 1991—it's quite an experience, really. The film dives deep into the psyche of a character who, well, doesn’t quite know who he is. You feel this palpable tension as he drifts through life, emulating the people around him. The atmosphere is heavy, almost suffocating at times, but it brings out the themes of identity and alienation beautifully. Pacing is rather deliberate, which might throw some off, but it gives you time to ponder his existential struggles. The performances are raw and genuine; you can almost feel the weight of his misfit existence. There’s something about its simplicity that lets the emotions wash over you without the need for flashy effects or big moments. Very distinctive, for sure.
