The film centers around Oumy Bruni Garrel, who was 13 years old at the time of filming, as she dances within a studio environment designed to evoke an underwater aesthetic. The production, backed by the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, features a score performed by the Budapest Scoring Orchestra, enhancing the intimate atmosphere of the film.
