The film follows Little Nelli, a cunning and resourceful child, as she navigates the complexities of childhood. With both of her parents working, her grandmother takes on the responsibility of caring for her. However, Nelli's spirited personality proves to be a handful, as her grandmother struggles to keep up with her antics.

As Nelli ventures out into the world, she quickly becomes the favorite among the neighborhood kids with her bold pranks. However, her transition to day nursery marks a significant shift in her social dynamics.
