Nefret

The film follows Kenan, who travels to a village to oversee the construction of a dam. Here, he encounters Zeliş, a young woman facing the repercussions of their brief stay together. After a rainy day forces Zeliş to remain at Kenan's house, a scandal ensues when she becomes pregnant and ultimately flees from the village to escape the villagers' judgment.

As the story unfolds, Zeliş is supported by Çavuş, and Kenan returns to the village once he learns of their child. Miscommunication leads Zeliş to believe her child is lost, while Kenan takes the child with him. Years later, Zeliş discovers a photo of Kenan and his son, igniting a vengeful plan to reclaim what she believes was taken from her. Nefret presents a poignant look at the consequences of choices and the impact of community gossip.
