Night of the Zoopocalypse is a wild mashup of genres, blending dark humor with a surprisingly heartfelt narrative. The animation style is distinct, leaning into a slightly gritty aesthetic that fits the horror-comedy vibe well. The wolf and mountain lion duo are voiced with a kind of dry wit that keeps the pacing brisk, and the absurdity of zombie animals adds a bizarre charm. It’s not a traditional animated film, though; the practical effects used during the zombie transformations are surprisingly well done for the budget.
