Nightfall

The film focuses on the experiences of young Lebanese men who joined the Palestinian organization Fateh during the Lebanese Civil War in 1975. Known as the “Student Brigade,” these individuals faced the harsh realities of war, with some losing their lives and others fleeing the country.

As the documentary progresses, it reveals the aftermath of the Israeli invasion in 1982, which led to the disbanding of the Student Brigade. The once youthful fighters are now older, grappling with their solitude through alcohol, poetry, and songs. Nightfall captures their reflections and the lasting scars of conflict, making it a significant exploration of personal and collective memory in times of war.
